We are looking for an Underwriter specializing in Accident & Health (A&H) to join our growing team, based in Stockholm, Sweden. This role offers an exciting opportunity to further develop your underwriting skills while working with experienced professionals across the Nordics. You will support senior underwriters in managing a portfolio of clients, focusing on renewals, new business, and delivering underwriting solutions that align with our business goals.
How you will create an impact
Underwriting Support: Assist senior underwriters in evaluating risk and underwriting A&H products.
Portfolio Management: Manage a small portfolio of clients, focusing on renewals and new business under supervision.
Problem-Solving: Take ownership of underwriting challenges, resolving them in a timely and professional manner.
Client Interaction: Work closely with brokers and clients to ensure clear communication of underwriting decisions.
Learning & Development: Participate in training to grow your technical knowledge of A&H insurance and underwriting principles.
What you’ll need to succeed
Experience: At least a few years of experience in insurance, preferably with exposure to Accident & Health or similar products, but not required.
Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Collaboration: Comfortable working in a team environment, taking direction from senior underwriters.
Problem-Solving: Proactive in resolving client and underwriting challenges professionally.
Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain underwriting decisions clearly.
Language: Fluency in Swedish, and professional proficiency in English.

Meet the Nordic A&H Team
The Nordic Accident & Health team consists of 26 professionals spread across the Nordics, focusing on Group and Individual A&H. Our product suit consists of Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Cash either stand alone or through payment and/or bill protection solutions together with Business Travel and Expatriate Insurances. We prioritize collaboration, strategic alignment, and shared success, and we work closely with other departments and lines of business across the company – particularly our partners in Affinity, Distribution, Underwriting Operations, and Claims.
