Job Description

Aircraft & Corporate Finance Assistant Manager is responsible for:

  • Participating as a team member in executing all aircraft finance, corporate finance, fund raising and investment exercises for AirAsia Aviation Group, which shall encompass, amongst others, private placements, rights issues, mergers & acquisitions and divestments, and other related debt and equity capital market transactions.
  • Assisting in corporate loans, credit facilities
  • Working closely with Group Strategy & Network, Group Finance, Group Investor Relations as well as AirAsia Group’s associate companies (Thai AirAsia, Indonesia AirAsia and Philippines AirAsia) in preparation of investor materials as well as keeping up with the operational statistics of the said companies.
  • Facilitate the implementation of corporate exercises involving AirAsia’s Aviation group of companies with coordination with other departments.
  • Coordinating with other departments (Group Finance) for their preparation of financing cash flow projections/analysis evaluating funding proposals.
  • Ensure timely debt servicing and compliance of covenants under various financing agreements external debt, bonds, etc. for Corporate Finance Transactions including equity exercise and capital calls (IPOs, rights issues & private placement), mergers & acquisitions, divestment of assets/subsidiaries and capital & business restructuring.
  • Manage external parties ranging from legal counsel, tax agents, investment banks and regulators in analysing and structuring proposals, as well as engage and liaise with the external advisers to prepare reports, transaction structures, announcements, circular and make recommendations to the Board of Directors.
  • Participate (and together with the team lead) the due diligence process which includes managing the expectations and communications of internal and external parties.
  • Ensuring Condition Precedent and Condition Subsequent compliance in relation to the business and transactions contemplated.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory (i.e. Bursa Malaysia, Securities Commission, Bank Negara, etc.) matters affecting the business and transactions contemplated.
  • Assist in analyzing potential businesses or projects based on the risk and its expected returns.
  • To succeed in the Assistant Manager role, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior members of the organization as well as your other colleagues, across the countries AirAsia Group operates in.
