Job Summary

The RVP Technical Operations will provide executive-level guidance for all Technical & Network Maintenance Field Operations for the California Region. This leader will report directly to the Regional Senior Vice President, serving as the key regional interface with the West Division office. The RVP represents the regional interests and will partner with the Divisional, National, and Regional Cable finance leads as well as the Executive leads for all functional areas within the region.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drives a customer and employee centric culture.
  • Creates and executes customer centric strategies to achieve overall business objectives including key operational metrics, revenue, expense targets and developing a highly skilled, motivated, empowered and diverse workforce.
  • Oversees all technical and network maintenance operations for the CA Region
  • Responsible for the overall customer experience, including both Residential and Commercial Business fulfillment activities.
  • Partners and influences TCOE activities including efficient routing and technical support activities.
  • Strategically works with other functional leaders in forecasting customer activity, resource requirements to meet customer demand; identifies and manages resources allocation and needed employee skill sets within the area based on forecasted work levels.
  • Responsible for overseeing expense budgets including labor and capital.
  • Ensures the financial and operational planning processes are tied to business plans. 
  • Monitors and analyzes all matters that impact the operational performance of the Region and takes appropriate action to address any trends.
  • Accountable for working with the region to meet or exceed regional P&L capital and forecasting specifically area controllable elements of the P&L.
  • Translates the organization’s vision, values, and business goals into individual and team goals.
  • Manages technical operations metrics cost control initiatives and complex strategy and activity.
  • Reviews and submits reports that provide critical data to drive ongoing operational performance improvement.
  • Partner with division Technical Operations, Network Maintenance and Customer Experience partners to identify and drive key initiatives to continue to improve the employee and customer experience.
  • Responsible for both internal and external (business partner) work force resource, performance, and Productivity.
  • Works closely with business operations (Finance) in executing fleet, facility, and other asset management.
  • Leads by example in creating an environment that encourages open communication, sharing ideas and best practices, and building strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Partners with the Talent organization and Human Resources on identifying and developing the best talent possible.
  • Interprets, administers, and implements corporate policies and procedures.
  • Strong partnership with functional peers in other regions and West Division.
  • Knows the competition and innovates appropriately.

Professional Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of experience at an executive-level in a complex large size cable or telecom organizations.
  • 10 years of experience must include a mix of operations and financial/analytical responsibilities including P&L.
  • Previous large market General Manager, VP Operations, AVP, or other similar level experience preferred.

Compensation

Primary Location Pay Range: $287,339.00 - $431,008.50

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
