Position Summary:

The Engineer is responsible for daily design and engineering activities, ensuring that tasks, orders, and projects are completed on time.

Work You’ll Do:

  • On time engineering completion of customized machine orders, Engineering Enquiries for special requirements, Aftermarket orders, improvement & cost optimization projects
  • Responsible for creation of 3D modeling of engineering drawings of machine components & layouts
  • Responsible for Design of machines/Products and components e.g. casting, machined,fabrication,turn-ground parts etc.
  • Ensure Design output meets the design input requirements and confirms to all adopted design standards and practices.
  • Make engineering changes in the engineering drawings and other documents (Windchill PLM).
  • Provide technical support & collaborate with cross functional teams (Sales, product management, purchase, assembly, quality, service etc.) and intercompany teams .
  • Create engineering Bills of Materials (BOM) of machines in ERP system and maintain design BOM configuration logics.
  • Responsible for creation of operating instruction manual & spare parts of the machines
  • Compliance as per integrated management system and design standards and practices
  • Machine design simulation

Team:

This position will be part of the Design Engineering team based at Ahmedabad.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in Machine Design is preferred
  • Experienced working with AutoCAD, Creo and Product Lifecycle Management systems (PTC Windchill)
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Team player with good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of working with some supervision, adaptable to changing environments, and able to handle multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously.
