The Senior Vice President Product Engineering Software & Electronics Back Office is seeking an Executive Operations and Communications Lead. The role leads strategic communication initiatives, supports the day to day operations of the organization, and acts as a trusted partner and confidant within the SVP back office. The position requires high organizational awareness and the ability to anticipate issues, exercise sound judgment, and operate independently in a fast paced environment. The role supports the strategic direction of TT/S by engaging in discussions, facilitating alignment, and driving change across a complex heavy duty truck product engineering environment, with particular exposure to software and electronics topics. A key responsibility of this role is the continuous improvement of back office processes, leveraging AI and digital tools to increase efficiency, transparency, and reliability of executive support. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively with executive audiences and adapt messaging to different stakeholder groups.

Position offers a starting salary range of $104,000 - $133,000 USD 

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience​. What You Drive at DTNA

  • Lead strategic and tactical communication initiatives across the global TT/S organization (e.g. News Flashes, Decoded, NICE), including definition of communication strategy, target setting, planning, and execution

  • Represent the center in communication committees and cross‑functional initiatives within the global Truck Technology (TT) organization

  • Implement and maintain center‑wide digital processes to support planning, tracking, reporting, and prioritization of tasks across the global organization

  • Drive AI‑driven continuous improvement of back‑office processes to increase efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness of executive support

  • Organize and facilitate workshops and events (e.g. strategy workshops, town halls, project‑specific workshops)

  • Drive operational readiness for leadership meetings and offsites, ensuring high‑quality preparation, execution, and follow‑up

  • Manage the SVP cost center, including planning, tracking, and reporting

  • Conduct data analysis and information gathering to support fact‑based decision‑making and leadership alignment

  • Prepare executive correspondence, presentations, and leadership materials

  • Establish and strengthen cross‑functional networks and collaboration across Daimler Truck

 

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Minimum Bachelor’s  degree in Digital Business, Management & Technology or related field from an accredited college/university.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in executive operations and communications, technical project leadership, project management, or similar roles

  • Experience working in or closely with a product engineering organization focusing on software and electronics‑related topics within the heavy‑duty trucking or automotive industry

  • Proven track record in process improvement or continuous improvement, ideally leveraging digital or AI‑supported tools

  • Exceptional communication skills are required

  • Fast, self-driven learning of new and various topics is required

  • Proven track record in process improvement or continuous improvement, ideally leveraging digital or AI‑supported tools

  • Strong analytical skills and data driven thinking is required

  • Project management experience is required

  • Proven track record in process improvement or continuous improvement, ideally leveraging digital or AI‑supported tools

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality is required

  • Proficiency in preparing Executive presentations, that are clear, visual and tailored to the respective audience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

  • Some travel will be required in this position

  • Some flexibility with schedule is required, e.g. early calls with Germany and India

 

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Experience supporting senior leadership and coordinating complex, cross‑functional topics

  • Experience as group leader, supervisor or project lead is preferred

  • Familiarity with Engineering processes and organization is preferred

  • Proficiency in data analytics tools is preferred
