Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of software engineers to design, develop, and deliver software solutions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members for professional development, conducting regular one-on-one meetings and performance assessments.
  • Contribute to the execution of the software engineering strategy, supporting the alignment of technology with business goals.
  • Lead agile development processes, managing sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to ensure high-quality code and design.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact project timelines.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role in software engineering
  • Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies
  • Strong programming and debugging skills• Some prior experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow certifications which are current including CSA (System Administrator), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) designation in one or more target competencies.  Experience with Now Assist and AI in ServiceNow.
  • Strong understanding of CMDB, Service Catalog, and Workflow automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks), while providing thought leadership to customer organization sponsors/stakeholders in solving business process and/or technical problems
  • Demonstrated ability to advise customers on the proper use of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and its implications across ServiceNow products
  • Experience working in multi-domain instances of ServiceNow and understanding of the implications across ServiceNow products including impacts and understanding of the security model and deployments.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems (HR, Finance, DevOps tools, monitoring).
  • Ability to design secure, scalable solutions aligned with platform best practices.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL v3/v4 service management, and portfolio/demand workflows.
  • Experience with PMO processes, project lifecycle management, and portfolio/demand workflows.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies (especially for SPM/Agile integration).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer-centric attitude, ability to deal with cultural diversity
  • Proven team player and team builder

  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and lead complex technical efforts.

Working Conditions

  • Remote/hybrid with occasional on-site workshops as needed, travel up to 25%.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours to meet project deadlines or address critical issues.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $105,500 - $195,900.
