About Us – PAR-CV

• Located in the Freeman Heart & Vascular Institute

• CV-PAR is a high volume, pre- and post-procedural area for cardiac catheterization lab and cardiovascular operating room patients

• We are a preoperative/postoperative outpatient recovery area focusing on procedures via Cardiac Cath Lab, CVOR, and specialized Cardiac/ Cardiothoracic bedside procedures

• No weekends, No holidays, No call

• Shift opportunities include: 5 eight-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts

• Care in this area is delivered by a team of high-quality nursing staff consisting of Registered Nurses, Nurse Technicians, and Unit Secretary

What You’ll Do 

In conjunction with the medical plan of care and under the direct supervision of the registered nurse, continuously assesses the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families. Implements appropriate interventions and evaluate effectiveness and adjust assignments as indicated in a timely manner. Reports the patient’s clinical status to the registered nurse upon completion of task(s).

Requirements 

Must successfully complete Freeman UAP program within 90 days of hire
