We are a group of highly trained, experienced animal lovers who are devoted to giving our patients the best care possible. Gainesville Veterinary Hospital is actively seeking an organized, compassionate, and service-oriented Veterinary Technician who is confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, experienced in properly handling and restraining animals, knowledge of x-ray and positioning, understands the importance of client education, able to confidently dispense and administer medication prescribed by the veterinarian, and is a positive and supportive team member. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and we encourage our staff to do the same. These are our must-haves:

  • Experienced Veterinary Technician with a minimum of 2 years experience at an animal hospital
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic & excellent nursing skills
  • Ability to successfully restrain animals
  • Able to complete clinical laboratory tests (fecal, heartworm tests, ear cytology)
  • Ability to administer injections and medications
  • Ability to perform xrays
  • Able to lift over 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule & Saturdays are a requirement
  • Must be dependable, compassionate, & a team player
  • Good communication skills are a must
