Control Room Shift Manager

To contribute to and support the day- Responsibilities / Objectives:
•    Responsibility for the performance of the team.
•    Direct line management of nightshift Lead Technicians (2), FFC (1) and Technicians (3) and keep open lines of communication with the Duty Manager regarding Team performance/issues.
•    Colleague development through appropriate interventions, such as Probationary Reviews, One-to-One Reviews, Appraisals & PDPs to drive high-performing individuals & teams.
•    To complete regular reviews of colleague output such as reports, emails and radio comms to ensure high performance.
•    To deliver operational strategy through effective communication and a proactive approach to the management of automation.
•    To attend and contribute with relevant and up-to-date information in shift meetings.
•    To ensure that all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
•    To identify opportunities and initiatives for continuous improvement in ways of working, quality, consistency, and effectiveness.   
•    To provide management colleagues and 3rd party suppliers with statistical reports, analysis and recommendations to help drive continuous improvement.  
•    To partner with peers and other key contacts throughout Distribution, Head Office and Stores.
•    To work alongside colleagues and Control Room Training & Compliance Manager to create and maintain SOPs and development procedures.
•    Deliver effective coaching and support for all day-to-day tasks.
•    Encourage and promote departmental and site-wide engagement through knowledge sharing and events.
•    To support the Control Room Duty Managers in delivering the business strategy.
•    Attend and complete all E-Learning, Operational and Behavioural required training.
•    Ensure the below department KPIs are met:
    95% E-Learning
    Papaya Compliance 95%
    100% Incident Management Comms

Skills, Experience and Competencies:
•    Proven ability to lead a team
•    Adaptable and open to change - forward thinking in outlook
•    Excellent attention to detail
•    Excellent communications skills, both written & verbal
•    Assertive with the ability to challenge and influence people at all levels
•    PC literate, with the ability & willingness to learn & become expert in new systems
•    Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
•    Good commercial awareness
