Position Summary

Medical Advancement is seeking a highly talented and strategic professional to join our team as the Associate Director of Strategy and Operations. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Strategy and Operations, this position will play a vital role in supporting the strategic initiatives and operational management of the Vice Chancellor of Medical Advancement and the department. The expertise of an ideal candidate will contribute to the advancement of our organizational goals, optimization of processes, and efficient workflow.

The Associate Director will partner with cross-functional teams, develop and execute high-impact project management and operations, database and portfolio management, metrics and data analytics as well as enhance organizational performance while driving continuous process improvement. The successful candidate will be extremely detail-oriented, have a proven track record in strategy development, data management, project management as well as the ability to engage and mobilize stakeholders towards achieving departmental and leadership goals.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Strategy and Operations to provide comprehensive support in developing, implementing and managing strategic initiatives for the Vice Chancellor of Medical Advancement and the department. Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Vice Chancellor’s office and the medical advancement department, ensuring smooth functionality and optimizing efficiency.
  • For CRM database (ARCH): data entry/portfolio management in CRM for the Vice Chancellor and Dean of WashU Medicine; requesting/pulling reports; act as a primary liaison for Medical Advancement that partners with Advancement Services, Prospect Management and Business Intelligence teams to provide support and guidance ensuring effective utilization of ARCH for the department. This includes, troubleshooting and enhancement requests for the department, gathering/analyzing/auditing data, track/monitor Medical Advancement performance metrics; coordinate and manage department gift and opportunity reports in partnership with Business Intelligence and Advancement Services teams.
  • Serve as a key partner in information gathering, prospect/donor research requests, material assembly of briefings and any other related meeting preparations for the Vice Chancellor and the Dean of WashU Medicine in partnership with cross functional teams, including the Principal Gifts team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

$58,400.00 - $99,700.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
