About the Role

The Associate Director, Digital Platforms role provides end-to-end ownership for core Life insurance digital platforms supporting new business submission, distributor ticketing and other order entry platform infrastructure, and associated vendor ecosystems. This role is responsible for ensuring platform stability, production support, vendor accountability, and ongoing enhancements across Life distribution and operations. The Associate Director serves as the primary liaison with external technology and service partners and plays a critical leadership role in coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, compliant, and scalable digital capabilities.

What you will be doing

  • Own and oversee multiple core distributor and vendor digital platforms, including ticketing and order entry infrastructure and supporting digital ecosystems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors and technology partners, ensuring accountability, delivery, and adherence to service-level expectations.
  • Leads the onboarding, technical integration, and ongoing connectivity of new distributor platforms
  • Ensure production stability, incident management, and timely issue resolution across Life new business and operational platforms.
  • Partner with Product, Distribution, Operations, IT, Legal and Compliance teams to manage platform dependencies, escalations, and enhancements.
  • Provide leadership and direction for platform roadmaps, balancing tactical operational needs with strategic improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor platform performance and vendor outcomes, identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Ensure platforms meet regulatory, security, and operational requirements across the Life insurance business.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience in Life Insurance, Financial Services, or digital platform management.
  • Demonstrated experience owning and supporting enterprise digital platforms in a production environment.
  • Experiences with leading Life insurance and financial industry distribution order entry systems
  • Strong understanding of Life insurance products, distribution processes, and operational workflows.
  • Proven ability to manage and influence external vendors and technology partners.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex dependencies and escalations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance strategic priorities and operational execution.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level updates.
  • Proficiency with standard productivity tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio) and familiarity with digital delivery and incident management tools.
