ABB, a leading global company operating in the field of automation and energy technologies, is looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Senior Operational Buyer for its Medium Voltage Switchgear unit in Brno.

The work model for the role is: onsite

 

This role is contributing to the ELDS unit in Brno, Czech Republic.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensuring operational procurement for switchgear production
• Regularly checking material availability for production and taking necessary actions to secure timely deliveries
• Creating purchase orders and implementing required changes based on planning outputs
• Internal and external communication
• Handling claims in cooperation with the Quality department
• Arranging transportation of materials from suppliers
• Negotiating with suppliers
• Pricing activities and forecast preparation
• Performing other tasks according to current business needs

Requirements:

• Secondary or university education
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of Czech or Slovak language
• English language at B1 level
• Proficiency in MS Excel is required
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
• Experience with technical documentation is an advantage
• Ability to adapt to established processes and administrative requirements related to the position
• Attention to detail, responsibility, proactive communication skills, ability to identify risks and prevent them, and make effective decisions
