Summary:

We are currently seeking a Government Sales Account Executive to join our Sales Team. This role can be performed remotely across the US. Some exceptions may apply.

What your team does:

The Clio Sales Team is rapidly expanding, with a keen focus on increasing our market presence in the U.S. government sector. As essential drivers of our government business development efforts, our government AEs collaborate with marketing and channel partners to proactively seek new opportunities. They excel at delivering product demonstrations and devising solutions to complex problems with strong business acumen and resourcefulness. They perform these tasks quickly, efficiently, and flawlessly, all while continuing to revolutionize the industry.

Who you are:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully selling SaaS solutions to US state and local government agencies, along with expertise in working with partners who sell into government. This role will involve generating leads, nurturing relationships, and closing deals with government clients, contributing to the continued growth and success of our company.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive Clio sales within the government sector.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in government agencies.

  • Collaborate with partners to maximize sales opportunities.

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, demonstrating a history of high attainment in previous sales roles.

  • Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline management using Salesforce 

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape.

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and customer success to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Travel to onsite meetings for in person demos.

What you have: 

  • Several years of experience selling SaaS solutions to government agencies.

  • Proven track record of working with resellers.

  • History of high attainment in previous sales roles, exceeding targets and quotas.

  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes and frameworks.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience in the legal industry or selling legal tech solutions.

  • Familiarity with government contracts and compliance requirements.

  • Knowledge of specific government agencies and their technology needs.

The expected salary range* for this role is $89,600 to $134,400 USD and the expected commission range is $89,600 to $134,400 USD. The opportunity to earn commissions beyond the stated amounts are possible as commission earnings are uncapped. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.

*Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
