The CBA technology unit is responsible for banking services, technology infrastructure, platform, cybersecurity and business resilience across all divisions. We are committed to delivering an outstanding workplace technology experience ensuring access to the latest tools and resources that enhance collaboration and support customer outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities: -

  • Designing and developing new tools and AWS cloud services to be integrated across the bank.

  • Design, Develop, Manage and Support System Resources in AWS environment across the bank, ensuring networking and security standards and best practices are maintained. 

  • Expertise in cloud infrastructure design and operations.

  • Driving automation through understanding processes and implementing improvements.

  • Presenting your work to peers in your immediate team and to engineers, scientists, and managers across the broader Systems Engineering community

  • Evaluate new technologies on an ongoing basis and participate in design activities across the Crew. 

  • Work closely with Chapter Lead, Product Owner and Peers and consistently add value to the Crew.

  • Provide support on-call for AWS production environments across the Bank.

  • Building monitoring, fine-tuning alerts and health-check dashboards.

  • Lead and support deployment activities across platforms including AWS.

  • Architect, build, and maintain scalable and secure AWS environments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver platform capabilities aligned with business goals.

  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation.

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using CodeBuild, Jenkins, GitLab, and GitHub Actions.

  • Automate operational tasks using Bash, Python.

  • Ensure platform security and compliance using IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Config, and Inspector.

  • Manage networking components including VPC, subnets, load balancers, VPNs, and Direct Connect.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.

Essential Skills: -

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;

  • Solid Experience working in a build and execution capacity within AWS Cloud Services.

  • 12 + years of relevant IT experience.

  • Quantexa data engineering certification

  • AWS associate level certification.

  • Deep expertise in AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation.

  • Strong proficiency in Linux (preferred) and Windows operating systems.

  • Programming Languages: YAML, Python, Scala, SQL.

  • RDBMS: Aurora Postgres SQL, Teradata, Oracle.

  • Experience on IntelliJ, Teradata SQL Assistant, Oracle SQL Developer

  • Proven track record with CI/CD tools: CodeBuild, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions.

  • Strong understanding of networking and security in cloud environments.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

  • Ability to thrive in cross-functional teams and dynamic environments.

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
