We are seeking a strategic and experienced Project Director to provide executive-level leadership across our heavy civil construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects or large-scale programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and driving overall performance in safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
Your ability to lead high-performing teams, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and provide strategic direction will be critical to achieving project and business success. Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for multiple projects or major programs
- Establish and drive project execution strategies aligned with business objectives
- Lead senior project teams and mentor Project Managers and field leaders
- Oversee project performance, including financial results, schedule, and quality
- Ensure effective risk management, governance, and compliance processes
- Interface with executive leadership, clients, and key stakeholders
- Support business development, bid strategy, and contract negotiations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery teams
- Ensure strong safety culture and adherence to corporate standards
- Review and approve major project decisions, budgets, and execution plans
- Forecast portfolio performance and provide regular executive reporting
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in heavy civil construction or infrastructure delivery
- Engineering Degree or equivalent experience required
- Extensive experience managing large, complex construction programs
- Proven leadership experience at a senior or executive level
- Strong financial acumen and experience with project controls and forecasting
- Deep understanding of construction execution strategies and contract models
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with Primavera (P6), project controls systems, and reporting tools
