Job Description Summary

The Senior Director, Total Rewards Hourly Support will lead a team responsible for the design, governance, and administration of compensation programs supporting GE Vernova’s hourly, production, and non-discretionary employee populations. This role ensures programs are competitive, compliant, operationally sound, and aligned with business strategy, labor agreements, and third-party determinations where applicable.

The role partners closely with HR, Finance, Legal, Sales leadership, M&A, and external stakeholders to deliver effective compensation solutions that support operational performance, growth, and employee engagement.

This position reports to the Global Head of Total Rewards, with a matrix partnership to the segment HR and business leadership teams.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee compensation programs for hourly, production, and non-discretionary employee populations, including:

    • Salary and wage structure design and maintenance

    • Local bonus schemes

    • Annual salary planning and wage adjustment processes

    • Market benchmarking and external competitiveness analysis

    • Job evaluation and classification support

    • Ongoing consultation to HR and business leaders

  • Ensure effective administration of compensation programs that are subject to:

    • Collective bargaining agreements

    • Regulatory requirements

    • Third-party negotiations, determinations, or industry standards

  • Partner with Labor Relations, Legal, and HR to support negotiations, implementation, and ongoing compliance

    • Governance and documentation of segment sales plans

    • Oversight of sales incentive administration, calculations, and payouts

  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and HR to ensure plans are clear, measurable, and operationally feasible

  • Ensure compensation programs comply with internal policies, labor agreements, and applicable laws and regulations

  • Establish clear governance, controls, and documentation for compensation programs and processes

  • Identify and mitigate compensation-related risks, including pay equity and operational execution risks

  • Leverage compensation analytics to inform decision-making and provide insights to leadership

  • Partner with People Operations and Total Rewards Operations teams to ensure accurate and efficient administration

  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and reporting

  • This position will also take lead in the oversight of other Total Rewards related functions as those responsibilities move into the COE

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University, with preference in Business, Human Resources, or Finance

  • Extensive progressive experience in global Total Rewards leadership roles across complex, matrixed, and multinational organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience with hourly/production compensation and non-discretionary pay structures based on collective bargaining agreements

  • Proven experience in engaging with Works Council and Labor Unions for Total Rewards topics in Europe

  • Strong knowledge of compensation benchmarking, salary planning, and governance.

  • Proven ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed organization.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and change leadership skills.

  • Experience leading distributed teams and partnering across regions and functions.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $232,000 and $348,000 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
