Mission

The mission for the SEO Content Assistant is to action and implement digital content which elevates our long-term SEO and content strategies. The SEO Content Assistant will work with leading ecommerce brands to bolster the growth and development of the client’s digital channels.

Our ideal candidate will hit the ground running, with a strong understanding of digital content trends, experience delivering a range of written content and a keen desire to learn. We’re looking for a strong creative who takes pride in their work and can adapt to different brand guidelines. As Pattern’s SEO Content Assistant, you will be driven by delivery excellence and professionalism.

Reporting to the Content Manager, you will be a key player in the SEO team and work closely with members of the broader Digital Agency team.

Key Outcomes

Client Management      

1.         Effectively support the content team in responding to client queries.

2.         Execute all client deliverables and communications in line with Pattern best practices and training

3.         Escalate client problems or issues with line managers in advance of them arising, or as soon as these occur

Subject Matter Expertise          

1.         Effectively support the Content team with the production of content deliverables.

a.         Provide meta data recommendations based on optimal keyword selection

b.         Conduct Keyword Research & Keyword Mapping,

c.         Develop content briefs that are not only SEO-driven but can be leveraged through social channels

d.         Keep up to date on new developments in SEO, actively researching, testing and proposing new approaches to improving search engine rankings

2.         Become proficient and confident in Google Analytics and Data Studio to effectively understand and report on content performance.

Sales   

1.         Support your Line Manager in developing content proposals for new business opportunities

2.         Grow existing client engagements by identifying opportunity areas and selling-in to clients

Product Strategy          

Support the development of new products in line with market expectations and in anticipation of market trends.

Marketing        

1.         Assist with the optimisation of the Patterm site. Ensuring content elements are in line with industry best practice.

2.         Attend webinars and networking events where necessary.

Skills and qualifications

  • Have at least 1 years’ experience in a similar role with a proven track record of creating high quality content for the digital environment
  • This role would benefit a recent graduate qualified in marketing, journalism, design or communications with a keen interest in digital and ecommerce
  • Applicants must be permitted to work permanently in Australia with no restriction on hours (e.g., citizen, permanent resident)
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written,
  • First-class ability to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrable use of adapting to different brand tone of voice in different contexts
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Having previous experience working with ecommerce clients would be highly regarded
  • Being familiar with SEO copywriting best practice standards would be highly regarded
