The Sr. Training Leader supervises individual contributors and/or supervisors and is accountable for conducting effective performance management. Manages day-to-day of the quality systems training processes and ensures that the training meets all regulatory requirements. Assists in the development of key quality metrics to drive quality and efficiency and supports compliance remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consults with management, employees, and departments to identify training needs, address them, and achieve effective training solutions.
  • Implement training metrics to monitor training effectiveness against needs of the business.
  • Supervises, coaches, and develops assigned personnel
  • Analyzes data as requested by management.
  • Creates new training materials as required in collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Communicates and escalates issues to the next management level as needed.
  • Develops and maintains a training program to support the company needs and meet applicable local, federal, and state laws/regulations.
  • As applicable, it is responsible for the site implementation of TWI (Training within Industry) methodology and others directed towards optimizing training practices across all operational areas.
  • Leads projects of moderate to high complexity.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s or equivalent university degree is required, preferably in Business, Education, Industrial Engineering or other related technical field.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience is required, with at least 2 years working in a training capacity.
  • Experience working in manufacturing/operations.
  • Experience designing and presenting successful training programs.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills.

Preferred:

  • People management experience.
  • Experience working in an FDA and/or European regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) regulations.
  • Learning Management System (LMS) experience.
  • Knowledge of Process Excellence/Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
  • Training within Industry Methodology (TWI) or American Society for Quality (ASQ).
  • Process Excellence/Six Sigma certifications.
