The Contracts Manager is a key part of the legal and corporate compliance team, responsible for driving the efficient execution of customer, vendor, and other contracts. You will be responsible for providing support during various stages of the contract management timeline, including intake, system maintenance, and contract execution.  This position reports directly to the company’s Deputy General Counsel. The successful candidate must be agile, with a demonstrated ability to pivot and manage a workload. This is a remote position. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Managing Spring’s contract management processes and taking steps to rectify any gaps.
  • Assisting with the production of dashboards tracking contract metrics and contract-related KPIs.
  • Collaborating with Spring’s revenue and customer success teams to track contract deadlines and key dates.
  • Creating legal training materials for Spring teams, including materials identifying best practices for Spring’s contract management system (Ironclad), FAQs, playbooks, and training sessions. 
  • Serving as an initial point of contact for Spring business teams regarding contractual legal matters, including escalating questions to stakeholders and other members of the legal team as necessary.
  • Managing key aspects of the contractual lifecycle, including contract intake, storage and organization of agreements in Ironclad, as well as document execution via Docusign.
  • Maintaining template agreements for NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, BAAs, DPAs, independent contractor agreements, and other agreements.

What success looks like in this role: 

  • Proactively identifying and owning improvements to Spring’s current contract management processes.
  • Launching and delivering legal training programs for the revenue and customer success teams at Spring.  
  • Fully owning the contract intake, agreement storage, and document execution processes.
  • Successfully maintaining Spring’s template agreements and implementing template updates as needed. 
  • Configuring and maintaining Spring’s CLM system, Ironclad, to improve the contract lifecycle efficiency and configuration and maintenance experience.
  • Enabling business and operations team to understand contractual commitments by providing timely and accurate reports generated through the CLM system/ Ironclad.

What we expect from you: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (a paralegal certification is a plus).
  • At least five (5) years prior work experience in a contract management role, such as procurement, purchasing or contracting.
  • Experience with G-suite programs (Gmail, Google docs, etc.) and DocuSign e-signature.
  • Experience with Ironclad/CLM system configuration and maintenance, and generating reports through the system.
  • Ability to provide clear communication (both written and oral) and explain company positions and policies courteously, succinctly, and persuasively to internal stakeholders.
  • Exceptional ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced, hyper growth environment, while being a go-to partner for fellow peers in the company and legal department.
  • Outstanding organizational, project management, and prioritization skills that drives work forward and accounts for unknowns and setbacks.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability over assigned projects and tasks.
  • Experience scaling legal processes and policies.

The target base salary range for this position is $109,500 - $135,250, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
