You will work directly with customers, account managers, and product groups to support export sales activities from inquiry through delivery, ensuring that each step of the order lifecycle runs smoothly. Your work will contribute to improved customer satisfaction, greater transparency in order fulfillment, and steady delivery of technologies used across transmission, distribution, and industrial applications.
You will gain hands-on experience with digital tools, customer-facing problem solving, and the commercial and technical processes that underpin complex power industry projects. Your role strengthens customer confidence, helps resolve challenges tied to delivery or fulfillment, and supports the safe, dependable operation of energy infrastructure worldwide. This is an opportunity to grow your technical and commercial understanding while playing a key part in delivering solutions that support grid reliability and modernization across international markets.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Manage customer communications as the primary point of contact, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
  • Support the full order lifecycle, from order entry to coordination of delivery and resolution of fulfillment issues.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and bids by collaborating with internal teams to address technical and commercial requirements.
  • Use digital tools—including configuration platforms, ERP, and CRM systems—to process orders, manage data, and maintain documentation.
  • Monitor order status and proactively communicate delivery timelines to international customers.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings to review contract requirements, discuss technical topics, and identify corrective actions.
  • Assist with change orders, contract modifications, and expediting outstanding payments.
  • Generate customer-specific reports, manage blanket purchase orders, or support VMI programs as needed.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Three (3) years of customer support experience in Industrial, EPC, Utility, or related fields; five (5) years preferred.
  • General knowledge of power transmission & distribution products/systems and power generation preferred.
  • Previous business-to-business customer support experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and skill in using CRMs and web portals; experience with SAP and SFDC (Salesforce.com) preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • A special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments may be considered.
