Nature and Scope
The Director, Clinical Services, reporting to the Senior Direct, Specialty Pharmacy and Clinical Services, is part of the Specialty Health Network Senior Leadership team and provides advice and practical operational knowledge to the team on the full range of nursing and clinical services. The Director, Clinical Services provides strategic direction to the clinical team to drive excellence in patient care and deliver on key performance indicators. The incumbent is also accountable to manage, plan, direct and coordinate the functions and activities for clinical-related services within the organization.
What you will do
• Strategizes and directs the performance of the clinical teams in accordance with the organizational goals and objectives. .
• Oversee the development and monitoring of clinical standards, protocols, required organizational practices and adherence compliance, ensuring that all clinical practices comply with legislation and professional standards.
• Provide leadership to the clinical management team, setting objectives, mentoring, development and ensuring that the team adheres to and follows company policies and programs.
• Establish clinical goals and objectives in conjunction with other senior managers.
• Responsibility for resources planning; ensuring department is staffed with sufficient and qualified personnel
• Manages the budgeting processes and financial resources and expenditures within the clinical department.
• Develop new business opportunities that support the network and growth of the Specialty Pharmaceutical business. Seek out and maintains relationships with key KOLs in related fields.
• Contribute to business development of clinical services.
• Provide clinical consultation on new and existing programs for internal and external customers.
• Assume a strategic leadership role in key projects that include clinical services.
• Responsible to lead nursing practice by providing professional leadership to all nurses across Specialty Health Network, to ensure the continuing development of professional practice.
• Demonstrate and work with senior management to embed a culture of continuous improvement and best practice for nursing.
• Actively promotes and supports opportunities for nurses and other health professionals to undertake/participate in research and development within Specialty Health Network.
• Drive and embody teamwork, engagement, Blue Culture and Core Values
• Ensure compliance in all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Required Operational Procedures (ROPs) ensuring employees understand and adhere to guidelines
• Report all Adverse Events (AE) and Product Technical Complaints (PTC) immediately or as soon as possible upon becoming aware of the event as per current policies and procedures.

What you will need
• Registered Nurse or other applicable professional designation.
• BScN or combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of clinical experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of working experience in the Specialty pharmaceuticals space
• A minimum of 5 years in healthcare management.
• Proven management and leadership skills
• Excellent organizational skills and communication, both written and verbal skills, and the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
• Proven ability to lead, influence and mentor others and work within a cross-functional team environment.
• Proven ability to interpret data, assess impact and make decisions based on appropriate intelligence and information; able to justify decisions, take and defend/negotiate positions.
• Proficiency with MS Office Applications, and report generation software.
• Flexibility to travel (approximately 50%)
