A Day in the Life

The Senior Marketing Specialist is responsible for leading the Aortic marketing strategy in the Iberia region. This role is critical to driving therapy awareness, market development, and commercial success through strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and customer engagement.
The Aortic Business is integral to Medtronic's mission to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life for patients with aortic disease globally. We are committed to advancing aortic patient care globally with evidence-based, intelligent solutions throughout the disease continuum.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Develop and execute the Iberia marketing plan for the Aortic franchise to support short- and medium-term growth goals.
  • Lead product planning, launches, product management, market development, and market research activities.
  • Identify unmet customer needs and new business opportunities, providing strategic direction from concept to market.
  • Own business analytics for the Aneurysm portfolio, including AOP, forecasting, segmentation, supply planning, and performance tracking.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Technical teams to ensure alignment and execution excellence.
  • Manage relationships with key external stakeholders such as clinical societies and reimbursement authorities.
  • Lead customer engagement initiatives and communicate clinical data to support sales confidence.
  • Maintain competitive intelligence and ensure Medtronic’s leadership in the Aortic space.
  • Support the Sales Team with field days and customer visits (minimum 2 days/week in the field).
  • Coordinate product training for the sales teams in collaboration with the T&E function.
  • Contribute to quarterly sales meetings and strategic planning sessions.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in medical sales and/or marketing
  • Strong understanding of the Spanish healthcare system
  • Experience in theatre or catheter lab environments
  • Proven strategic thinking and business acumen
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
