ROLE

The Principal Project Manager role in Biometrics involves the following characteristics:

  • Directs and manages projects from initiation to closure. 

  • Serves as primary contact for clients 

  • Is responsible for monitoring and managing a project to ensure it meets Alira Health’s and the Sponsor’s or other organization’s requirements. 

  • Is responsible for the overall planning and oversight of the projects, from inception to completion, ensuring completion on time, within cost and required quality standards 

  • Coaches/mentors Senior/Junior Project Managers and supports Project Management Director with process improvement initiatives 

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of project plans, including tasks, milestone dates, status and resource allocation.

  • Develop project management documentation, such as, but not limited to, communication plan, risk plan and status reports. 

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and Sponsor in a timely and clear fashion. 

  • Liaise with Sponsor and team members on an ongoing basis. 

  • Schedule the kick-off meeting with team members 

  • Identify and develop project success criteria, potential risks and contingency plans 

  • Prepare, discuss, maintain and document study timelines with Sponsor and project team  

  • Timely oversight of the budget, including work completed, hours, revenues, backlog and profit status and ensure the profitability target is met 

  • Maintain accuracy of information recorded in the Alira Health business and project management system 

  • Manage out of scope activities and prepare and discuss change orders with Sponsors 

  • Work with QA department to ensure resolution of any quality issue that may arise and support QA during internal/external audit and for the resolution of relevant findings 

  • Work with administration to review and approve step of invoices 

  • Review regularly study documentation (TMF)

  • Attend F2F meetings with Sponsor, when requested 

  • Assess Sponsor satisfaction with the work completed by Alira Health 

  • Ensure project and department KPIs are met 

  • Manage issues and risks escalated by relevant stakeholders 

  • Interact proactively with other departments, such as finance, administration, department directors, commercial team and QA 

  • Manage GxP suppliers required for the completion of the project 

  • Share critical and general issues with the Sponsor, Line Manager and/or Managing Director.

  • Conduct other activities, reports or analysis as required by the Alira Health management.

DESIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor degree in a Scientific or related discipline or college diploma  

  • At least 5 years of experience in clinical research 

  • At least 5 years of experience in Project Management 

  • Project Planning, Very Good 

  • Project Organizing, Very Good 

  • Project Controlling, Very Good 

  • Program Management, Very Good

  • Understanding all clinical research processes, Very Good 

  • Usage of project management software, Good
