Title: Breakfast and Public Area Attendant

Reports to: Executive Housekeeper / Assistant General Manager
Pay Range: $21.30 / hour
Job Summary: The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for setting up, replenishing, and servicing the breakfast period in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. This role ensures the cleanliness of the dining area and preparation stations while providing excellent customer service to enhance the guest experience. As a Public Area Attendant, the employee ensures the cleanliness and upkeep of all public areas, including restrooms, elevators, and lobbies, to maintain high-quality standards. This role supports guest services by responding to requests and performing additional tasks to exceed guest expectations.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Set up and serve breakfast items, ensuring all items are stocked and available throughout the breakfast period.
Greet guests warmly and provide assistance with food and beverage selections.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dining area and kitchen prep stations.
Replenish food and beverage items as needed, including hot and cold items, condiments, and utensils.
Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations.
Setup and breakdown of breakfast service, including cleaning and storing equipment.
Monitor inventory and notify the supervisor of any shortages or reorder needs.
Maintain cleanliness in all public areas of the hotel, including restrooms, lobbies, and elevators, to meet high standards of quality.
Consistently monitor public areas to ensure a high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the hotel.
Perform additional cleaning projects as directed by the supervisor, such as carpet or tile and grout cleaning.
Follow brand standards and ensure all duties are performed to meet or exceed guest expectations.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
Previous experience in food and beverage service or a customer-facing role is preferred.
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to complete tasks with speed and accuracy.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Work Environment:
Requires standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods, up to 8 hours a day.
Must be able to lift, push, or pull loads weighing up to 30 lbs.
Exposure to kitchen and food service equipment, as well as cleaning chemicals.
Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays, based on hotel needs.
Primarily indoor work, cleaning public areas and back-of-house spaces.
