Overview of the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Business Intelligence Consultant to join our team at Hartford Funds. This role will report to the Head of Business Intelligence and will be responsible for working with internal clients to drive key strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will build frameworks, processes, and metrics that help drive sales across all channels. This includes partnering closely with sales team management and members to support growth and improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize quantitative metrics to measure the success of programs, call campaigns, events, and training.
  • Handle ad hoc reporting requirements and create high-level presentation materials.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies; collaborate with business partners to implement controls and work with the data team for long-term solutions.
  • Translate strategic vision into actionable steps and synthesize significant amounts of information into pertinent messages for broad consumption.
  • Assist in managing various vendors that provide tools for the sales team.
  • Collaborate across departments as new initiatives or issues arise.
  • This role will support a combination of sales leadership, sales management, internal and external sales, relationship management, and institutional sales team.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in data analytics, computer science, or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with data query and compilation and data visualization software (e.g. R, Python, Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, etc.)
  • Familiarity with industry software and tools for sales data (e.g., Walletshare, Discovery Data, RIA Database, etc.) preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop insights for key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated track record in client relationships and/or project management.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to advance strategic agendas.
  • Comfortable working across multiple functions and stakeholders.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Effective team player, able to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Highly self-motivated, able to handle multiple tasks and work through ambiguity.
  • Knowledge of the investment management industry (products, distribution channels, competitors, trends) preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SalesForce.com

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$100,000 - $140,000
