In this role, you will proactively pursue sales prospects within a designated geographical area while continuously honing your sales and presentation skills.
This includes lead generation, effective pitching, customer profiling, and maintaining exceptional post-sales communication. Your primary aim is to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business profitability through the direct sales representative channel.
You will be responsible for recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and building a strong sales and customer-focused skillset among direct sales representatives.
You will also oversee the implementation of sales programs and execute end-to-end sales activities in alignment with the business's objectives within the assigned territory.
Additionally, you will develop local networks to increase sales volumes, manage inventory effectively, and maintain a healthy credit standing in your area of operation.
Your responsibilities will also involve adopting a structured and systematic approach to handling stocks for an assigned depot or location.
This is a field role in Uganda reporting to the Regional Manager.
A key aspect of the role is being data-driven, which includes interpreting reports seamlessly and generating weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business-focused reports.
Staying updated on competitor intelligence, customer insights, and market trends is essential, and you will be expected to share this information with internal teams promptly.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of sales experience, a proven leadership track record, and high integrity levels.
You should possess excellent sales and negotiation skills, the ability to motivate and lead a team, and exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
You must thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle urgent calls effectively. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is also required.
