DigitalOcean is expanding in Hyderabad, India. We are looking for a People Business Partner to join our People team.
As a People Business Partner, you will be reporting to the PBP Director. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of HR related duties including, supporting effective execution of HR processes including employee relations, talent development, performance management and employee engagement. This role will assist in providing coaching and guidance to employees to help recommend solutions to business issues as well as be the on-ground support for the execution of people initiatives. The ideal candidate will be both strategic and creative, with the ability to embody and scale our culture as we continue to grow.
This is preferably a full-time position based out of Hyderabad and with in-person presence in the Hyderabad office, at least 3 times a week.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Support complete employee life-cycle processes for our India employees including onboarding, performance reviews, compensation/benefits, engagement survey and action planning, team activities, employee relations as well as off-boarding.
- Build relationships with local managers and employees, be a trusted resource for their needs and escalate issues as necessary to the PBP Director for quick resolutions.
- Have a strong understanding and working knowledge of people related policies, and assist in interpretation of such policies and standards.
- Support the development, recommendation, and implementation of policies, procedures and process improvements.
- Assist with the preparation of analytical data/presentations as needed to share insights with senior management.
- Own the onboarding process for India including locally in Hyderabad as well as for any remote employees.
- Manage the ongoing operational needs of employees in India, including the Hyderabad office.
- Support on local India payroll in partnership with our local provider.
- Partner with PBP team on local communications including community events, benefits, compliance, holidays etc.
- Partner with the Regional PBP team on local rewards administration.
- Work with local leads and People team to plan and execute regular community/team events/activities to boost engagement.
What You'll Add to DigitalOcean:

- Experience in HRIS System, Workday
- Experience working in a startup / fast paced / ambiguous environment
