The Head of Regulatory Reporting (Cash & Trade Proc. Mgr) is an intermediate level role responsible for ensuring regulatory reporting and deliverables are processed accurately and on time in coordination with the Transaction Services team/relevant stakes. The overall objective is to lead and manage regulatory reporting team , apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge to reach solutions and ensure deliverables are completed efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead and supervise Citi's regulatory submissions within Operations
  • Review data and report quality, production systems, and overall reporting within cash, trade and other relevant operations
  • Analyze complex and variable issues to resolve and ensure team deliverables meet performance and quality expectations
  • Recommend quality reviews of processes, production systems, and completeness of reporting
  • Manage performance, identify areas of development/training and make recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, hiring, etc. of team
  • Generate effective ideas, drive efficiency gaining runs, manage projects and automation initiatives keeping close liaison with local and regional tech chain and developers for timely deliveries with accuracy and expected outcomes
  • Get team aligned with projects and drives comfortably set as team goal
  • Contribute to planning, budget management and formulation of procedures
  • Serve as backup of Operations Senior Manager, as and when needed
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrate particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of banking experience preferably within cash ops, trade services, market ops, branch banking and back office functions
  • Currently in a regulatory reporting role for the immediate past 2/3 years will be preferred
  • Proven track record of excellent rapport with regulators is essential
  • CDCS, CSDG and such global certification will bring added advantage
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing processes that resulted in improved reporting performance
  • Effective verbal and written communication along with analytical skills


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree. Masters in Business or equivalent will be preferred
