In this role, you will work directly with customer branches and handle incoming calls from C.H. Robinson contracted carriers and factoring companies. Your exceptional communication skills and commitment to customer service will be key as you resolve billing and open payables questions. You will utilize your critical thinking skills and systems knowledge to navigate Navisphere, C.H. Robinson’s internal system, with ease.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage systems functionality and established processes to release a high volume of vouchers daily while meeting established error rate guidelines.
- Release payments to carriers and invoices to customers.
- Analyze data to identify and solve complex problems.
- Utilize problem-solving and critical thinking skills to work with carriers in resolving paperwork issues and any billing or open payables questions.
- Make quick decisions and sound judgment calls when resolving invoicing or payment issues.
- Escalate more complex issues to senior-level team members and/or leadership.
- Work within established procedures and adhere to quality guidelines.
- Contribute ideas for process improvement based on identified themes and an understanding of the big picture.
- Develop professional relationships with internal and external customers, maintaining open lines of communication and building rapport through timely and professional service.
- Continue to develop skills and build billing knowledge and business acumen.
- Work as a member of the team, willingly providing backup support for peers when needed.
- Provide coaching and support to less experienced team members.
Call Center Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced skills and expertise in various processes and systems to answer carrier questions and billing concerns, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
- Handle multiple incoming phone calls daily while maintaining minimum department service levels.
- Accurately log calls and data entry.
Strategic/Dedicated Billing Responsibilities:
- Follow customer-provided standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Utilize advanced skills and expertise in various processes, procedures, and systems to work with uninvoiced and unreleased invoices.
- Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned based on team and/or country-specific requirements.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of data entry or call center experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal) experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs (preferred).
- Previous experience with the Navisphere system (preferred).
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive, professional attitude with excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage conflict or sensitive topics.
- Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to take initiative and approach work with persistence.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional, and deadline-driven environment.
