JOB SUMMARY:

The Receiving Clerk will work mainly in the Receiving Area. The person will be responsible for entering the dimensions of new items into the Red Prairie WMS. The person will identify, analyze and implement solutions regarding opportunities in optimizing locations in the storage system. This will include preparing storage locations for new items as they are scheduled to be received. This person will also be the initial contact to adjust locations and storage criteria as it is identified by supervisors, leads, and warehouse workers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Scheduling of all inbound loads.

  • Coordinating all Receiving dock activity as it relates to inbounds, unloading, check-in, cross dock, transfers and receipt.  Develop and drive activity to support 10% efficiency improvement year over year.

  • Reconciliation of transfers and PO’s working Cross Site with other Internal representatives.

  • Tracking and monitoring of inbound and outbound freight condition.

  • Communicating with the Receiving Lead on scheduling of labor as it relates to dock activity and inbound schedule.

  • Act as the department Lead when Lead is out.

  • Lead 6S activities on the Receiving Dock daily.

  • Use powered equipment to perform duties such as unloading, stock put away and inventory re-stock.

  • Support inventory control during receipt error investigations.

  • KPIS’s: Maintain Dock to Stock and DOHNA of less than 2 days.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. individually, and 75 lbs. with a team lift.

  • Must be able to stand/walk for full 8- to 9-hour shifts.

  • Must be able to tolerate heights up to 26 feet.

  • Must be willing to operate power equipment as duties require (after completion of internal power equipment training based off regulatory standards)

Preferred:

  • 4-year degree or currently in pursuit of degree preferred

  • 3-5 years in a Distribution Center environment

  • Proficient PC skills - Microsoft Word, Excel.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to work well under pressure.

  • Ability to take direction and work independently.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Standard warehouse/distribution center and office environment

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required based on site policies, including safety- or steel-toe shoes/boots, long pants that cover the entire leg, and company-approved safety eyewear.

  • Operational schedule varies based on shift and location- standard shifts are 8-hours in length.

  • During peak operational periods, overtime may be required, including weekends.

Base Pay Range:

$17.85 - $25.62
