The Senior Associate, PMO, is a role focused on actively leading and contributing to strategic and operational initiatives within the PMO. Reporting directly to the VP, PMO and Portfolio Management, the Senior Associate, PMO will manage a collection of high-value, strategic company projects. This position requires a proven track record in project management, a strong business process mindset, and change leadership skills to foster business process improvements and drive PMO transformation initiatives. Support the organization with PMO tools to maintain, enhance, and ensure compliance with our project management methodologies and processes. This role will be based in our Nashville, TN, or Jersey City NJ office on a hybrid basis or possibly remote.

What You Will Do: 

  • Acting as a project manager for high-value projects across the organization through initiation and planning, development, execution, and closure. 

  • Leading and facilitating project change management activities to ensure smooth adoption. 

  • Contributing to the development, execution, and continuous refinement of PMO processes and initiatives. 

  • Participating in the development of executive communications to inform strategic decision making. 

  • Partnering with functional teams across the organization to ensure adoption of project management methodologies and standards. 

  • Establishing trust and credibility with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization, specifically with technical and domain experts. 

  • Provides input for project assessment health checks to improve Fortitude-Re’s Project Management Methodology. 

 

What You Will Have: 

  • Undergraduate degree 

  • 5+ years of project management experience; demonstrated project management experience within a PMO setting. 

  • Proven IT project management experience within a PMO environment, demonstrating successful delivery of technology-driven initiatives.
  • Strong presentation skills, especially with PowerPoint. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as interpersonal skills. 

  • Analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities. 

Preferred Experience: 

  • PMP Certification encouraged. 

  • Proficiency with a project management tool; Wrike preferred. 

  • Experience in insurance, finance, or consulting. 

  • Continual improvement or other lean methodology experience.

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

$100,000$120,000 USD
