Position Description:

Coordinates multiple software development work streams through integration and ensures architecture is scalable and extensible, using Micro-Services Architecture concepts – Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), JAX-RS, and REST/JSON. Develops and maintains software applications and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines, using DevOps and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (Cl/CD) tools including Maven, Git/Stash, Jenkins, Nexus, uDeploy, and Docker. Builds and maintains relational databases, using SQL, DB2, and Oracle. Develops event driven transaction processing applications using EAI, ESB, and messaging patterns including ActiveMQ and Tomcat. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and building modernized enterprise-grade applications in a Cloud infrastructure environment, focusing on security, scalability, and resilience.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and building modernized enterprise-grade applications in a Cloud infrastructure environment, focusing on security, scalability, and resilience.
