The Senior Software Engineer standardizes quality assurance procedures for software, oversees testing and debugging activities, and develops fixes as needed. This role includes researching complaints and making necessary adjustments or recommendations to resolve complex software-related issues. The engineer begins to influence departmental strategy and makes decisions regarding technical approaches for project components, often without direction, exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Key responsibilities include leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable solutions within the pharmacy dispensing ecosystem. The Senior Software Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams—including front-end, back-end, and infrastructure groups—to deliver high-quality solutions. Engagement with vendor-supported dispensing sites ensures seamless system integration and support, while close collaboration with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and infrastructure teams proactively addresses system reliability, performance, and scalability. Additional duties involve contributing to CI/CD pipeline development, automation, and deployment processes, integrating and optimizing systems using cloud-based technologies, and ensuring adherence to best practices for code quality, security, and compliance.
