Position Summary...

As a Software Engineer III – SDET, you will test, automate and maintain services E2E for Sam’s Club. You’ll work closely with multiple engineering teams from different pillars and fellow engineers to deliver innovative features, stable environment, optimize performance, and ensure seamless service. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on coding skills, and a collaborative mindset.

 Role Overview:
  As a Software Engineer III – SDET, you will test, automate and maintain services E2E for Sam’s Club. You’ll work closely with multiple engineering teams from different pillars and fellow engineers to deliver innovative features, stable environment, optimize performance, and ensure seamless service. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on coding skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Usage of web technology including HTTP headers, HTTP Verbs (post, get, etc).
  • Validating and certifying web services using Soap UI / TestNG / Cucumber etc tools
  • Experience with working with Gen AI LLMs, AI agents based IDEs.
  • Experience with handling Test environment stability observability and reporting.
  • Experience with handling test environment data setup and Handling golden data.
  • Strong prior experience in QA test technologies such as JUnit, TestNG or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience working with relational database (Oracle, MySQL)
  • Experience and knowledge of cloud enabled services / applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with test environment management and support while working with multiple stake holders
  • Stay updated on emerging web technologies and best practices


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of experience developing and testing highly distributed, complex eCommerce Platforms
  • At least 3+ years hands-on scripting (automation) experience in any of the following languages – JAVA or similar
  • Experience testing software at API and webservice level
  • Able to perform testing for feed in various formats like XML, json, EDI,csv
  • Experience testing different web service methodologies REST, SOAP, over XML, JSON payloads
  • Experience with handling Test environment stability observability and reporting.
  • Experience with handling test environment data setup and Handling golden data.
  • Strong prior experience in QA test technologies such as JUnit, TestNG or equivalent technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Walmart’s open-source tech stack and internal tools
  • Exposure to supply chain, retail, or e-commerce domains
  • Contributions to open-source projects
  • Knowledge of accessibility and performance optimization
