What you'll do:

Responsible for providing financial, credit, and trend analysis for the delivery of the Bank’s tax-exempt and taxable credit products and services to municipal, governmental, and nonprofit clients. Keeps apprised of industry related, political and regulatory issues to determine their impact on municipal and nonprofit sectors. Acts independently from the sales teams to structure and evaluate credit requests. Actively manages the customer portfolio. Responsible for attaining established Bank and divisional financial goals, balance sheet limits and portfolio reporting. Performs all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

What we are looking for:

  • Evaluates credit requests

  • Reviews credit analysis of new and existing credit requests and prepares financial analysis of nonprofit and municipal entities, analyzes financial statements and financial projections and is well versed in modeling a sensitivity and break-even projection analysis.

  • Actively manages and monitors the group's portfolio.

  • Underwrites, with little assistance, new credits and/or changes to existing credits and manages appropriate loan covenants to provide early triggers to detect deterioration of the credit.

  • Analyzes municipal and nonprofit revenue streams and is well versed in modeling complex cash flow modeling, sensitivity and break-even projection analysis

  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, policies and procedures. Keeps up with changes to banking regulation and completes bank training courses on-line.

  • Performs independent analysis of appraisal, environmental reports, and other third party reports including collateral audits and inventory or appraisals.

  • Assigns risk rating on new loan requests according to bank policy.

  •   Responsible for reviewing the calculations for spreads and due diligence documentation once completed by credit analysts.

  • Always ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, policies and procedures. Keeps up with changes to banking regulation and completes bank training courses on-line.

  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and 3 + years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Good understanding of financial accounting knowledge preferred.

  • Preferred knowledge in lending, specifically, cash flow and collateral analysis and loan structuring.

  • Advanced knowledge of governmental accounting and governmental financial management.

  • Ability to clearly and succinctly express complex financial concepts both verbally and in writing

  • Exposures to syndicated credits as a participant and in most types of credit products

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 for Denver, CO. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
