Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced Senior QA Lead – Automation Testing & Banking Compliance to oversee quality control activities for automation projects within the banking domain. This role ensures that delivery meets high-quality standards, defects are identified and resolved efficiently, and best practices are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining process integrity, enhancing product quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives, thus contributing to client satisfaction and organizational excellence.

Overall Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and monitor quality control activities for automation projects, ensuring compliance with project and organizational standards.
Develop and review test plans and test cases based on project requirements and scenarios.
Lead defect management including logging, tracking, and coordinating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to validate deliverables.
Prepare and present quality reports, including defect trends, test results, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to quality standards such as Agile best practices, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with project teams, clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to clarify quality expectations and address issues proactively.
Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and methodologies, aligning with industry best practices.

Technical Skills (By Category)
Testing Tools & Frameworks:
Required: Selenium, Appium, Jira

Proven experience managing QA activities within complex banking or enterprise automation projects.
Hands-on experience with automation testing tools (Selenium, Appium) and test management processes.
Demonstrated capability to lead QA teams or oversee QA activities for large initiatives.
Alternative pathways: Extensive experience managing quality in automation projects across other regulated industries.
Day-to-Day Activities
Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts aligned with project requirements.
Lead and coordinate daily testing activities and monitor progress against schedules.
Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring issues are addressed promptly.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to review requirements and clarify acceptance criteria.
Conduct manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives, providing quality insights and recommendations.
Prepare test status reports, defect reports, and quality metrics for management review.
Drive efforts for automation enhancement, process improvements, and adherence to compliance standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field.
5+ years of experience in quality assurance, with specific emphasis on automation testing within banking/financial projects.
Certifications in testing (e.g., ISTQB, Certified Agile Tester, or similar) are advantageous.
Strong understanding of testing lifecycle, methodologies, and best practices.
Knowledge of banking processes, compliance standards, or financial regulations is preferred.
Experience working with global teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
