Role Purpose:
As one of the Business Product Managers for Chronic Remote Care Management, you will be a member of the Chronic Remote Care Management International Business Team. The Business Product Manager is a critical role in ensuring the success of our vision to build and bring innovative solutions to our customers in the (relevant) settings. The Business Product Manager will execute on a product strategy and own the holistic product vision and delivery within the business team.
This position will be responsible for gathering deep customer insights and developing accurate product and feature requirements for new product introductions that leads to desired outcome. They will develop a winning value proposition for the product to deliver customer requirements and ultimately be in charge of developing the business plans, competitive strategies, pricing analyses, sales/revenue forecasts, product positioning plans and launch plans. They will lead cross-functional teams’ alignment, so as to guide the focus of the experts and squads. As such, you will closely work with other product managers and cross-functional stakeholders across Roche Diagnostics Global & Affiliate organizations.
You will be responsible for:
Driving the Product Roadmap, VoC, and KOL Engagements:
Develop and communicate a comprehensive product roadmap highlighting outcomes
Discover a product that is useful and feasible by conducting user research and incorporating the insights into new product ideas. Gather deep customer insights and develop accurate product and feature requirements for new introductions.
Cultivate networks with key opinion leaders in the industry as well as with key stakeholders within the company for idea generation and adoption
Distill key questions needing answers to make product feature and pricing decisions; select and guide appropriate market research projects to answer those key questions
Heavily utilize data insights, market and customer research, and your product intuition to continually improve the product
Identify opportunities and generate ideas for growth and strengthening the performance of our product through new features that leverage the organization’s infrastructure to provide unique and lasting customer value
Test new ideas and features with internal customer to rapid discover and refine them before making them available commercially to external customers.
Establishing Segmentation & Product Support
Tailor features in the product to meet the needs of the target customer segments.
Support and provide guidance on the creation of marketing collateral
Work with key internal departments to help resolve product design issues and own trade-off decisions
Developing Business Case
Forecast revenue or savings opportunities associated with product development initiatives; create business cases and present to stakeholders including up to executive management
Participate in and influence the development of pricing strategies
Lead OKR creation for the product line and in alignment with business leadership, product, and other cross-functional stakeholders
Evaluate product sales performance and make enhancements as required.
Assess potential new business models and opportunities with Commercialization, Marketing and Affiliates.
Executing on Product discovery & delivery and foster collaboration
Drive new product launches
Align and influence cross functional team on a product level mission and roadmap that require problem solving, information analysis and synthesis, and the ability to persuade and influence others
Act as a key externally focused contact for internal functions
Collaborate frequently with stakeholders to develop and share information about product launch, competition, and technology upgrades as appropriate, and to gain information about the market landscape and customer needs
Clearly communicate plans, insights, data, and results to a spectrum of audiences including executives, product teams, and other decision makers across the company.
Conduct customer visits, produce trip reports, following the continuous discovery techniques
Travel % required: Up to 30%
Your profile
7+ years of of sound marketing and sales experience in the healthcare, health tech, or personal health app industry on a local, regional or global level
High degree of subject matter expertise:
Scientific or Medical as well as software market background, business acumen, and experience in chronic disease management desired. Experience in diseases such as CV, metabolic, renal, or neurodegenerative a plus
Deep understanding of the Health Tech industry, lifecycle & development process and global trends
Past experience of working in an affiliate and/or global marketing leadership roles
Leadership and people development:
Proven ability to inspire and motivate teams to make a big impact and deliver their best every day
Consistent record of building collaborative relationships with peers and teams, helping cross-functional teams address strategic opportunities and solve problems across the organization
A desire and openness to learning and continuous improvement, both of yourself and your team members
Management skills:
Experience leading, motivating, coaching people and teams to drive customer focus in our mindset, work priorities and collaborative behaviors
Evidence of strong strategic thinking, communication, planning and organizational skills required, e.g., through experience successfully leading and executing strategic initiatives
Able to foster positive partnerships through effective influencing, negotiation and conflict management skills to achieve alignment up and down the organization
Commitment to the organization’s new way of working through greater collaboration and breaking down of siloes
Excellent interpersonal skills, including clear, succinct and timely communication and proven ability to foster and build important relationships with customers and key stakeholders
Ability to navigate within a changing organization, maintaining objectivity, respect for differences of opinion, fairness, open communication and consensus building skills

You are also responsible for building, and then providing effective matrix-leadership for a global team, doing so in a manner that is consistent with the Roche Values and leadership capabilities. You will seek to inspire and lead your global team to create transformative solutions, and to influence their prioritization and uptake in the wider organization, in order to ensure that customer solutions are at the forefront of Roche and deliver its optimal contribution to the Roche Diagnostics Vision.

You will be based in Vienna, Austria. At the Company's discretion, an exception to the location requirement could be made under extraordinary circumstances.
As this position is a global role, international business travel will be required depending upon the business location of the successful candidate and ongoing business project activities.
