Position Overview:
The specific focus of this position is with the Student Employment program with primary responsibility over the operations of Workday for student employment and answering questions from campus partners. In addition, the full-time position provides support in the SFA Office for students and their families applying for financial aid and follow-up when necessary.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Subject matter expert for Workday Student Employment, which requires coordination with HCM, Payroll and ITS to ensure that processes are working accurately and efficiently.
Manages the following: Processing of Workday inbox requests and any related actions necessary; JM Student Organizations; EIB’s for student employment processes; mass hire, assign work schedules, end jobs, terminations, period activity pay, bonus payment, compensation changes, and others as needed to maintain the program.
Answer questions regarding Student Employment inquiries from students, work supervisors, and campus partners.
Provides placement or direction for students to secure appropriate jobs. Including most first-year students.
Process activity pay and bonuses
Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of student payroll
Keeps pertinent staff aware of critical work issues that may need to be addressed and resolved.
Monitoring of work earnings and communication to students and supervisors when limits are approaching.
Monitor and maintain the Student Employment website and pages along with the appropriate system maintenance.
Work with the Director of Student Financial Aid to plan and schedule training and other events.
Additional Job Responsibilities:
Supports the general reception area of the office and will answer general questions about financial aid and direct inquiries to other staff as needed.
Other duties as required and appropriate to enhance the success of the SFA Office team.

This position does not exercise direct supervision.
Education/Experience/Skills:
Required:
4 years of office experience.
Excellent organization, time management and computer skills needed.
Must be familiar with MS Office products and the use of electronic communications.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, have an eye for detail and be able to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
This person must be able to work independently and at the same time be a team player.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at the same time is essential.
Preferred:
Experience with financial aid, student employment and/or human resources management.
Must have the ability to understand and follow written and oral work instructions, operations, safety procedures, and hazardous labels.
