Job Description Summary

O&M Resident Engineer-Intern will work closely with O&M Advisory Managers to enhance the reliability and availability of Power Plant while reducing costs associated with repairs, downtime, and inefficiencies.

The O&M Resident Engineer – Intern apply engineering, and statistical analysis principles to identify potential failures, assess risks, and support the implementation of solutions to ensure safe, reliable and efficient plant operations

During this 6 month-1 year assignment, the O&M Resident Engineer-Intern will gain hands-on experience in equipment monitoring, maintenance coordination, and technical reporting while complying with safety, operational and maintenance procedures.

Job Description

What you will do:

  • Assist O&M Advisory Managers in daily site operations and maintenance activities
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (O&M engineering, O&M Advisory Team, COE Team) to incorporate reliability principles in O&M daily activities.
  • Collect, process, and analyze system performance and reliability data, including failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Support the conduct of root cause analysis for failures, developing corrective and preventive actions to mitigate future issues.
  • Prepare and present reliability reports to stakeholders, highlighting key findings, trends, and actionable recommendations.
  • Establish reliability metrics and continuously monitor product performance in the field; recommend improvements based on findings.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, logs, and maintenance records and maintain clear and detailed records of all reliability analysis,
  • Always follow HSE rules and company procedures

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Fresh graduate in Engineering (Mechanical, Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, Industrial, or equivalent)
  • Basic knowledge of power plants equipment and maintenance concepts.
  • Willingness to travel and accept assignments at different power plants across Algeria.
  • Fluency in French and English (written and spoken)
