The Sales Operations and Analytics Specialist will support the Sales Operations and Analytics Manager in driving and advancing commercial initiatives. Key responsibilities include new business opportunity validation, calculating sales commissions, crafting and facilitating internal sales presentations, and developing and improving reports and dashboards. The Specialist will also perform ad hoc analyses to support the VP of Sales Operations in optimizing sales processes and monitoring Sale KPIs.
Responsibilities:
- Opportunity Validation: Evaluate and assess numerous new business opportunities, meticulously reviewing each opportunity against set criteria to verify eligibility for bonus payments to the salesperson, ensuring accuracy and fairness in incentive allocation.
- Quarterly Sales Commissions: Accurately calculate and track sales commissions on a quarterly basis, ensuring timely and precise compensation for sales team members based on performance metrics, targets, and company guidelines.
- Quarterly Sales Presentation: Develop and facilitate the Quarterly Sales Presentation, ensuring it effectively and accurately communicates sales performance.
- Sales Reporting: Enhance and develop sales reports for sales representatives and leadership using Excel, Tableau, and Salesforce. Analyze sales data to generate actionable insights and improve reporting accuracy. CRM data governance, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and compliance through effective management, monitoring, and implementation of data quality standards and best practices.
- Customer Feedback Collection: Work with sales leadership to gather and analyze customer feedback. Provide support for the Executive team’s preparation for Quarterly Earnings calls with relevant data and insights from customer feedback.
- Process Improvement: Identify and address inefficiencies in processes and workflows, focusing on the optimization and streamlining of sales processes. Recommend and implement continuous improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
- Sales Enablement Tools Evaluation: Assist in evaluating and optimizing new and existing sales enablement tools and vendors with a focus on value add and cost reduction. Support the optimization of Werner’s sales tech stack.
- Commercial Initiatives Support: Provide support for various commercial leaders on department initiatives and projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Sales Operations, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in Sales Operations, analytics, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and Tableau; experience with other data visualization tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks while consistently identifying and addressing potential errors or inconsistencies.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and data analysis techniques preferred.
- Experience with sales enablement tools and technologies preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail preferred.
- Experience in the transportation industry is preferred
