Position Overview
We are looking for a Studios Security Operations Specialist to be embedded at Amazon MGM Studios in Culver City, California.
The Studios Security Operations Specialist will be responsible for assisting with guard force management across multiple sites in the Los Angeles area.

Essential Job Functions
- Manage security vendors by tracking key performance indicators and service level agreements.
- Assist with Emergency Preparedness & Response planning for Amazon MGM Studios facilities within California.
- Manage and document safety and security incidents and investigations, and provide security services as dictated by the situation and applicable laws.
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Support the contract guard force training team with the creation and delivery of in-person training, and assessment exercises.
- Maintain situational awareness of the area of responsibility.
- Review and approve incident reports.
- Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms.
- Identify opportunities, risks and emerging threats, and work with internal and external teams to implement solutions.
- Coordinate daily security operations tasks in alignment with site activity.
- Plan and manage all activities relating to maintenance and upgrade/improve physical security systems.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to design and implement security plans for current and newly acquired properties within area or responsibility.
- Build and maintain credible relations with Local Law Enforcement Agencies
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Law Enforcement, Business Management, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of corporate security experience in progressive management roles or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more professional certifications, such as CPP, PSP, CISSP, or other comparable certifications.
- Understand relationship building and the development of cross-functional/peer relationships.
- Strong working knowledge of physical security systems and components.
- Experience in providing security oversight in high-rise buildings or other office settings, or equivalent.
- Ability to manage tactical (daily) operations and participate in the development of strategic program plans.
- Results-oriented person with strong delivery focus who can work independently and collaboratively with various teams.
- Skilled in developing, delivering, and managing training programs for large groups.
- Skilled in developing metrics and in conducting security related trend analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting basic investigations and fact finding.
- Understand the incident command system.
- Excellent organizational, planning, prioritization and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately to meet tight deadlines and prioritize.
- Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
