QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required with concentration in Business, Sports Management, Communications or related field preferred
Minimum two years experience in a business environment with golf-related or tournament experience preferred.
Demonstrate ability to coordinate and juggle numerous priorities and projects and to meet deadlines without sacrificing effectiveness/quality of work.
Excellent oral & written communications skills required, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Able to safely operate a utility vehicle such as, but not limited to, golf carts, utility carts, and shuttle carts
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Develop and maintain all Tournament Operations and Tournament Business digital content both internally and externally including the Tournament Resource Center, Tournament Operations Guide, Briefing Notes, and Tournament Advance Checklists.
Coordinate, develop and manage an internal library of Tournament Operations and other tournament content and best practices to share with external stakeholders throughout the year
Support Operations Managers to collect all necessary documents and information in the planning process of each event. Including but not limited to: Security/First Aid Checklists, Scoreboard Graphics, Site Plans, Volunteer Organization Charts and Recruitment plans, Volunteer Numbers YoY, Evacuation Plans, Number of Branded Assets, Player and Caddie Menus as well as other items
Manage and lead the quarterly Volunteer Chairmen meetings. Work with other internal team members to drive volunteer numbers with each tournament through focusing on recruitment efforts, trainings, communication and appreciation plans.
Lead the Volunteer Referral Incentive Sweepstakes each year
Track and ensure the submission of each tournament’s Volunteer of the Week. Work with internal team to send out gifts and thank you notes to each Volunteer of the Week
Work with each tournament to create specific Tournament Surveys to be ready to distribute immediately after each tournament. Work with Player Relations to ensure Player Links and Tournament Websites are always up to date with the most accurate information for Players, Caddies, Fans and other stakeholders
Support the Competitions Department in creation and implementation of tournament specific Caddie Credentials
Develop, disseminate and track operational surveys as requested
Support the Korn Ferry Tour Physical Therapy & other player support staff by coordinating the location each week and communicating to the tournaments and respective staff onsite
Support cadence of Pre-Tournament Operations Calls with various constituents to ensure alignment on all operational areas leading into tournaments
Support the Tournament Operations team in tracking and ordering of equipment for any required branded assets for the upcoming year.
Assist with the planning and operational execution of PGA TOUR Q-School
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Various other duties during tournament planning cycle and execution as determined
Make visits to tournaments as needed
