Job Description:

About the Role

You will be employed to work both in the inpatient unit and outpatient unit.

You will conduct general nurse clinics in the outpatient department of St Thomas, and you will be able to work independently whilst providing safe and effective assessment, treatment and management of patients.

You will be required to administer medications to patients in St Thomas and the accommodation units, whilst providing safe and effective assessment, treatment, administration of medication and management of patients.

You will be able to work efficiently and effectively with the St Johns inpatient unit team when caring for the inpatients of St Johns.

Classifications for this position will range from YP4 - YP9 ($69,253.60 - $92,601.60 pro rata per annum) + 25% casual loading.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Escalation of deteriorating health status and/or care need.

  • Accurate, comprehensive and timely clinical documentation

  • Ensuring that you are working within the values of SVHM and your scope of practice.


.Your Contribution

  • Minumum 5 years' experience in the acute setting.

  • AHPRHA registration.

  • Current National criminal history check.

About SVHCS at Port Phillip Prison.
St Johns is a 40 bed inpatient unit within Port Phillip Prison.

St Thomas outpatient department manages a capacity of 937 patients.
