JOB DESCRIPTION:

As an OEE Support Engineer (OSE) you must learn how to work with both Allegro MicroSystems and Subcontractors personnel. Crucial part of your role involves identifying losses mainly from non-scheduled downtime of equipment, quality issues affecting product yield, minor stops, slowdowns and speed inefficiencies and non-value-added processes.

 

You will work closely with Test Manufacturing and other cross-functional teams to review manufacturing practices, recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods, controls and whenever applicable, equipment modifications.

 

You will use applicable lean manufacturing and quality tools [e.g. Kaizen, TPM, etc.] and report performance through visual presentation, dash boards and regular reports.

 

As Allegro moves towards subcontracting Probe and Test services using 3rd party partners, you will work closely with OSAT Support Team to implement the same practices in subcontractor sites. This also involves bench marking for Best Known Practices applicable in AMPI manufacturing setting.

 

The job will require occasional travelling outside Philippines to subcontractor sites located in different parts of Asia Pacific Region such as China [PROC], Taiwan [ROC] and Malaysia. You are also required to travel to Allegro sites for training, meeting with relevant allegro personnel and product transfer as needed. 

 

The job involves several short to medium term projects. You are expected to be able to manage multiple projects at the same time.

 

We expect you to be a dynamic, analytical and creative person, responsible and professional, and technically capable of working independently or with less supervision to accomplish the assigned tasks. 

Your Mission:

  • Continually improve manufacturing efficiency through application of Overall Equipment Efficiency [OEE] principles and Lean Manufacturing Tools and Practices.  
  • To ensure successful OEE implementation in both Allegro Manufacturing Phils Inc. [AMPI] and Subcontractors [OSAT]
  • Publish OEE Performance for Management review through Reports and visual data [Dash Boards]

Your Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Daily monitor of Probe and Test OEE performance to maximize equipment and operational efficiency.
  • Work with Allegro and Subcontractor Engineers to identify unscheduled manufacturing losses, classify them according to OEE main components [Availability, Performance, Quality] and implement Improvement Initiatives and other continual improvement activities. 
  • Work with Allegro and subcontractors to develop efficient, effective and sustainable manufacturing processes, process controls and tooling enhancement to improve OEE.
  • Using RCCA methodology, work with internal Allegro team to do deep dive Root Cause Analysis, Formulate and implement Corrective Actions.
  • Track, Review and Measure effectivity of Corrective Actions. Ensure Corrective Action schedules are completed online.
  • Consult regularly and openly with colleagues in Product, Test and Design Engineering, Quality and Test Operations.
  • Generate written reports and visual presentation of OEE activities and performance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in Process / Probe / Test / Tape & Reel Operations
  • Knowledgeable in Quality System management and relevant International Standards such as but not limited to IATF16949, ISO9001, ESD20.20, ISO14001 (EMS), ISO45001(OHS), ISO17025, VDA5.3
  • Experience in operating and maintaining relevant Test equipment such as Teradyne Eagle Test Platform, TEL prober, Rasco gravity feed, Multitest pick and place and other bowl feed handlers.
  • Familiarity or direct experience in running tight schedule and critical projects using project Management tools, Quality Tools and other Lean manufacturing tools.
