Join us as a System Developer Experienced in Java

Are you ready to develop and maintain critical financial systems that support stable and secure financial functions across multiple European countries?

We are looking for a System Developer with experience in Java to join our Development Team  distributed between Porto and Copenhagen at Euronext Securities. This department is responsible for developing and maintaining several applications that support Euronext’s core financial systems.

You will be part of a collaborative, Scrum-inspired working environment, working alongside colleagues across Norway, France, Portugal, Italy, and Denmark. The position will be based in Porto and you will report to the Head of Development Issuer Services.

You will primarily be responsible for:

Software Development & Innovation:

• Develop and maintain high-performing, scalable, and stable financial solutions
• Collaborate with business teams to enhance business area development.
• Explore and implement new technological opportunities to improve software development efficiency
• Take technical ownership of projects, ensuring high-quality, well-documented, and maintainable code
• Contribute to setting the strategic direction for software development

Operational & Agile Collaboration:

• Support both development and operational tasks within a complex, evolving business landscape
• Work in a Scrum-inspired environment, emphasizing collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with new market regulations and evolving financial sector requirements

Your Profile:

Technical Skills:

• Strong Java programming experience
• Familiarity with Scrum, React, OpenShift, and Test-Driven Development (TDD) is a plus
• Experience working with decentralized systems
• Ability to develop high-quality, scalable applications in a regulated environment

Soft Skills:

• Analytical mindset with a quick ability to grasp new business areas
• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership over product development
• Ability to thrive in an environment where autonomy and accountability go hand in hand
• Willingness to learn about the financial sector—previous experience in finance is a plus
