About the Team
he Legal Contract Solutions team supports Workday’s Go To Market Legal team in a wide variety of transactional and in-depth work. This worldwide team is comprised of contract management professionals who handle work across Workday’s customer base and net new accounts. The team is asked to manage a large volume of requests and interact with several cross functional teams.About the Role
Workday’s legal department are looking for a hard-working Contracts Analyst and Contracts Negotiator to join our team. In this role, you will assume a wide range of responsibilities, all of which will require critical thinking, innovation, and integrity. We are looking for someone with a solid work ethic, impeccable attention to detail, high energy, strong project management skills and a positive attitude.
Workday is a fast-growing company, and the Analyst and Negotiator will need to manage multiple priorities, work independently and be proactive. The utmost confidentiality is imperative, as you will be working on sensitive projects and will be privy to confidential information.
Manage workflow for contract review process for a variety of contract types including commercial and partner related contracts, beginning with receipt of requests for contract generation through routing for signatures and final distribution.
Assist with maintenance and improvements of contracts management processes and system as well as implementation and enforcement of contract practices and policies.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams during contract review, acting as a key contact for the legal department by providing guidance on commonly requested edits, non-standard terms, policies, questions, etc.
Review proposed modifications to contracts and work with internal business partners and third parties to negotiate terms and obtain approvals for modifications as required.
Draft and revise contract wording to address various situations as they arise.
Maintain processes between the legal department and other groups, collaborating to continually improve the contracts administration process.
Assist with legal review and response to requests for proposals (RFP/RFI/RFQ).
Complete assigned projects as determined by needs of the business and department.
Serve as a primary legal contact for Workday’s legal team

Provide support to in-house legal staff, including research, correspondence and record-keeping.
Execute assigned projects as determined by needs of the business and department.
About You
3+ years of experience managing contracts (specifically including drafting and negotiation subscription/technology contracts) and contractual operations in a corporate environment.
Bachelor’s Degree or above.
5+ years of experience managing contracts (including drafting and negotiation subscription/technology contracts) in a corporate environment.
Bachelor’s Degree or above.
Able to review and negotiate NDAs completely with minimal guidance.
Able to draft amendments related to Order Forms and Subscription Agreements.
Able to provide an initial review of all commercial and partner related contracts.
Ability to follow written processes to ensure successful and correct completion of assigned work.
Ability to set priorities, be flexible and handle multiple tasks, and to track and follow up on projects.
Detail oriented, meticulous and strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable working collaboratively in a team environment with all levels of the company, including executive management and sales teams.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, shift focus, adapt to changing priorities, maintain patience in high pressure situations and take initiative where appropriate.
Experience with data privacy rules and contracts (preferred). Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with a contract management system, i.e. SFDC, Apttus (preferred), Conga Experience with electronic signature software, i.e. AdobeSign (preferred), DocuSign.
Language skills (French, German, Italian or Spanish) would be a plus, but not required.
Strong persuasive abilities, including outstanding influence and communication skills.
Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-output, team oriented, practical environment.
