Do you have a passion for off-road vehicles and a strong mechanical background? Polaris Industries is looking for a skilled mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be hands-on with cutting-edge off-road vehicles, performing mechanical evaluations, repairs, and maintenance to help shape the future of powersports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on Polaris off-road vehicles.
  • Evaluate and diagnose test vehicles in various terrains and weather conditions to assess durability, performance, and safety.
  • Collect and document troubleshooting data using digital tools and web-based systems.
  • Provide detailed feedback on vehicle performance, identifying potential issues and recommending design or mechanical improvements.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments for prototype and production vehicles.
  • Capture and organize digital photos for documentation and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and testing teams to support product development and initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work environment.
  • Adapt to changing assignments and priorities with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Travel occasionally as needed for training or development work.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in mechanics or related fields preferred.
  • Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Strong familiarity with Polaris vehicles or similar off-road equipment is preferred.
  • Vehicle diagnostic equipment experience preferred.
  • Proficient with basic computer applications; experience with data acquisition systems is a bonus.
  • Welding, fabrication, and engine diagnostics experience are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be safety-conscious and capable of operating and diagnosing off-road vehicles.
