Your Impact:

  • Conduct analysis of customer product requirements to ensure a thorough understanding of their needs.

  • Work in collaboration with customers to specify the application and design automotive applications that meet their needs.

  • Utilize Java to design, develop, and implement software applications that are both high-quality and meet customer requirements.

  • Work with development teams to develop and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.

  • Review and investigate issues in code developed by peers to ensure that all code meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

  • Establish and maintain clear communication channels with customers and other Cerence teams through regular reporting, meeting participation, and follow-up.

  • Contribute to advancing technologies and services by providing input and recommendations based on project experience, as well as staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments

What you Bring:

  • Hands-on experience in software development as a full-stack Java developer with a solid understanding of modern development processes/tools and the complete software development life cycle

  • Strong knowledge and experience in Java, Python, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST, as well as SQL, MYSQL, and good database concepts

  • Experience and knowledge of DevOps concepts and practices with expertise in source control tools like Git and CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins

  • Experience working in/knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks

  • Strong data structures and algorithms skills with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to master new technologies and tools quickly with strong object-oriented analysis, design, and coding skills

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken with excellent team player skills and a customer-focused approach

  • An understanding of information and application cybersecurity standards (secure coding, securing SDLC’s, etc.)
