Job Description Summary

AAM is looking for a Financial Analyst located in our Detroit Business Office. This role supports the organization's accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting. Maintaining records of the organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Creating reports on financial performance for internal and external use. Completing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to organization's financial performance, analysis, and reporting. Supports the organization's forecasting, budgeting, and long-range financial planning process.

Job Description

• Analyzing current and past financial data and performance
• Preparing reports and projections based on analysis
• Evaluating current capital expenditures and depreciation
• Exploring investment opportunities and opportunities for cost savings
• Identifying trends in financial performance and forecast accuracy while also providing recommendations for improvement
• Coordinating with other members of the global finance team to review financial information and forecasts
• Providing financial models and forecasting
• Review capital appropriate requests for completeness and accuracy
• Coordinate capital expenditures and rebillable tooling forecast and budget
• All other duties as determined and assigned

Required Skills and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or closely related field
• 0-3 years professional experience
• Good knowledge of financial concepts and terminology
• Comfortability with Microsoft Office products with an emphasis on Excel
