Supply-Chain Data Quality Project Lead

Description -

Overview: The Supply Chain Data Quality Project Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing the quality and integrity of Supply Chain master data within the organization. This role involves working with a team of data specialists, coordinating with various departments, and implementing data governance policies to ensure the accuracy and consistency of material data across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage various master data quality projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and governance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and objectives are met.
  • Report project status, risks, and issues to senior management.

Data Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
  • Establish data quality metrics and KPIs to monitor and report on data integrity.
  • Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits to identify and rectify data discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain a data quality improvement roadmap.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data specialists.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with business units, IT, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to business users on data management best practices.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements related to material master data management.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data entry, maintenance, and validation.
  • Leverage automation tools and technologies to enhance data quality processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Management, Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in data management, supply chain management, or a related field.
    • Proven experience leading data quality improvement projects.
    • Experience with material master data management in an ERP environment is mandatory (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Data Bricks and Ataccama).
  • Skills:
    • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and delivering the desired results.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in data governance and quality tools and technologies.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Certifications:
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is a plus.
    • Data Management or Data Governance certification is a plus.
